The thesis has dealt with nineties prose poem in Iraq, which is attributed to the nineties era (1990-2000) of the previous century. Including its critical, literal, and living consequences.
It is an analytic critical study for poet who flourished at the early nineties to be a sample for studying the prose poems at that time. The researcher has tackled the various poetic patterns concerning the sentence, the poetic syllable or the poem as a whole whether they were new or old.
The most important trends of the prose poems were studied deeply through composing them in a society which changed its attitudes towards all things even the universe: being nearer to superstation and unknown painful future.
Therefore, the poet’s responsibility was extended to tackle the quantitive and qualitive issues from different sides involving the simple known cases as well as the deep intellectual philosophical ones. The artistic features of the poem were treated as well, acquiring the utmost degree of freedom from all restrictions.
Thus, the nineties prose poem has proved its effective existence in the poetic Iraq field after arising from the ruins of the prose mingled Iraqi poem. By proofs, evidences and indications, based on a scientific vision void of inclination, passion or fanaticism, it has been proved that the nineties prose poem is the real founder of the Iraqi prose poem and it is one of the poetic Arabic forms, not a prose or another literary genre.
