                       Dawood Saloom ( A comparative critic)

                       Study in his comparative literary efforts.

       Adissertation is presented to college of Education in Karbala’a

   University. it’s part of requirements to gain Master Degree in Arabic Language and its arts and is supervised by prof.Dr. Farooq Mohamed AL-Habooby. The study is new and the reason for taking this subject.

     Is that researchers don’t take any interest in.Thus,there was an interest.

     In all comparative books to have perfect feature to the unique person- Ality of Dr. Dawood Saloom through his publications as well as what He presented to Arabic library.it’s composed of preface,three chapters     And epilogue. The first chapter high lights Dr.Saloom’s efforts in     Clearing distinction of Arabic criticisim.the first chapter it self

     Divided into three topics: the first topic dealt with AL-Jahid and the Western critics opinions.while the thired on focused on comparative.     Synopses in ancient Arab references.

     The second chapter included Dr. Saloom’s role in clearing the impact .     Of Arabic literature in western arts.the second chapter also comprises.     Three titles.first is the impact of Arabic literature in English literature.     Second is the impact of Arabic literature in French literature and the Third is its impact in German literature.

     The third chapter dealt with Dr. Saloom’s efforts in clearing the Impact of Arabic literature in Easten arts. It also comprises three

     Titles :His efforts in clearing the impact of Arabic literature in Persian.

     Literature,his efforst in clearing the same impact in Indian literature.

   And finally his efforts in clearing the same impact represented by

     Juha anecdotes in Chinese literature.the study concluded an epilogue

     Containing these chapters by analyzing,discussing and referring to the

     Aftermaths of Dr.Saloom’s thought taken from Arabic and translated

     Into Arabic references,Interviews and different encyclopedias which

     Is about 170 references.
