Pre-Islamic poetry is considered the source of originality and creativity in the Arabic heritage. It is a rich field that researchers aim in their various studies, this is due to the artistic qualities that this poetry possessed.

Pre-Islamic poetry put the establishment and originated an eternal poem along life. Due to the Pre-Islamic poets. Arabic poem could take its fixed traditional shape. The poetry could also construct the original Arabic poetry syllabus for the Arabic poetic generations. They made this poetry the Arabic cultural identity along all times.

Authority of poetry extended to Andulus land. This poetry had the influential role in the literary life in that region since Arabs’ entrance to Andulus up to their existence there. Thus, it was one of the main sources that the Andulusi critic built his entity on, kept following it and adopted its procedures.

The study contained three chapters preceded by a preface where we clarified Andulus critical taste of Pre-Islamic poetry. The researcher had a pause with establishment extensions of this poetry since its beginning in Arabian Peninsula desert, his journey to Andulus, the conditions that went in parallel with entering pre Islamic collections in those lands, and the level of impact of Andulus people with those collections.

The second chapter with its six sections came to study ” Pre-Islam Poetry Representations in the Andulus Criticism until the Seventh Hijri Century ” in the Andulus criticism on the level of the artistic issues. Poetic plagiarism stands at the beginning of these issues, which is considered the most critical issues that took an important place of Arab critics’ interest alongside literary eras. Some of Andalus agreed with them in this respect. Therefore, some considered plagiarism as a default to the poet, others considered as telepathy among poets, while others considered as it  belongs to the poet’s ability and creativity. The Pre-Islamic poetry had the bigger role in studying Andulus critics of this issue.

The Pre-Islamic examples had the biggest share of the examples they were fetching to show their critical stands not only in this issue but also in all other artistic issue whether the old and the updated. This is in addition to the truth and lying in Arabic poetry; besides issues of pronunciation, meaning, and nature And craft. So, Pre-Islamic poetry had a priority in representations of the Andulus critic. Pre-Islamic poetry was the sample and origin that he uses as measurement to the critical issues he faces as well as the Eastern critic impact in directing the Andulusi critics through proving to his critical issues.

The second chapter was devoted to the framework of Arabic poem from the Andulusi critic perspective and how he was exploiting Pre-Islamic poetry in his speech about the poem parts: introduction, purpose, structure, and conclusion.

The third chapter was about the rhetorical devices such as simile, metaphor, metonymy, repetition, and implication. We saw how the pre-Islamic poetry was occupying a remarkable prestige in the Andulus critics study for these reasons.

After these three chapters, there was conclusion which recognized the most important results. Then, a list of references and bibliographies that helped me in completing my thesis was fixed at the end of the study.
