                                                                                                            Abstract

The establishment of Arabic language group in Egypt was like a hope for linguists, writers and scientists long period ago to raise and develop Arabic language towards development and renewing. That group insisted to work silently to develop Arabic language because of the era requirements and needs. They believed that time had a great role in such development which must be surrounded by restricts and conditions not to exceed mortal heritage or hastiness may lead to disorder. They want to make it easy when fix rules or take decisions without being out of fixed principles. They took their decisions after evaluation, research and study and they don’t hesitate to reconsider decisions if it is necessary. They want to make harmony between past and present and improve the language. They worked hard as those who preceded them to make new phrases based on principles and rules.

We chose the group of Arabic language in Cairo because the follow up the language development to be in cope with the present time. They didn’t make new grammar or being away from Arabic language but they tried to develop it depending on theories and opinions by scientists and authors who had important rank in the Arabic and scientific heritage. So they took a long time to take the sound and accurate decisions. This research paper consists of introduction and three chapters : the first is about verbs and has five topics, the second is about references and derivatives and has seven topics while the third is about broken plural, the straight (free from faults) and the diminution. The conclusion includes the results which are as follow:

  • The group worked on changing verbs from intransitive to transitive by depending on sayings of many linguists like Seabway, Al-Akhfash, Ibn Qutaiba, Abu Ali Al-Farisy, Ibn Juni and others. The group used Alhamza in making transitive verbs.
  • The group use the Kufis opinion in formulating the verb (Afel as gerund) which give the beginners and linguists more freedom in formulating the language structures that could be invest in poetry and verse. We can say , for an example,” this is whiter than yogurt”.
  • The group depends, in straight, on the ternary which has no Arabic Faa or Lam( Arabic letters) as mentioned by the linguist Al Farraa ” it is possible to recall the deleted Faa(Arabic letter) to make it Waw (Arabic letter) before the letter Yaa in the straight even if the word has no vowel in the end. So this is considered as making the language easy to make a rule for the straight which is recalling the deleted Waw.
